Intensive Outpatient Treatment*
Taylor Recovery Center’s Intensive outpatient program is one of the top in the nation and is run by a highly trained and fully licensed staff of professionals including LCDC’s, LPC’s, and a licensed psychiatrist. Our counselors enroll in ongoing education and are highly competent in treating individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Taylor Recovery Center’s IOP offers flexible group schedules 3 times a day, on 3 days a week, consisting of 3 hour group sessions, and is located near most major freeway’s in Houston which allows client’s the freedom to continue meeting their obligations at home, work, or school. Our holistic approach includes acupuncture, yoga, and meditation as a portion of group sessions.
Client’s, as well as families of client’s have the intensive support of passionate counselors and peers to help navigate their journey. Included with the weekly group sessions, is a weekly multi-family group designed to help families gain knowledge and understanding of addiction as a disease; weekly individual sessions which allow clients to process their individualized treatment plan objectives whose content may be more emotionally difficult to process in regular group sessions; case management which helps clients who are struggling with finding help for financial, legal, educational, occupational, medical, or psychiatric difficulties; and weekly sessions with our psychiatrist. At Taylor Recovery Center our goal is to treat the whole person and arm client’s with the education, life skills, coping skills and relapse prevention strategies which allow clients to maintain sobriety, pursue their dreams, and live a fulfilling life.

About Our Program
At Taylor Recovery, our IOP consists of 9 hours of group counseling per week (three 3 hour sessions per week, either day or evening), as well as a weekly multifamily group, and individual counseling sessions. Our experienced, licensed professionals assess every client prior to admission to determine if IOP is the most appropriate level of care to best support long-term sobriety.
Our clinicians are able to provide referrals for acute co-occurring disorders (medical and psychiatric) that may interfere with treatment without more immediate attention.
Our counselors will work with clients’ doctors, therapists, family members, and other service providers to coordinate a highly individualized plan of care.
The Taylor IOP Program treated the whole person, including mind, body, emotions, and spirit. By learning techniques for communication, establishing and keeping boundaries as well as identifying family roles I was able to apply tools right away, to real-life situations. I felt like I was able to integrate what I learned into life almost immediately.
