Outpatient Treatment* Houston
Taylor Recovery Center’s outpatient program is one of the top in the nation, and it's run by our highly trained and fully licensed staff. Our counselors enroll in ongoing education and are highly competent in treating individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.
Taylor Recovery Center’s outpatient program offers flexible scheduling, which allows clients the freedom to continue meeting their obligations at home, work, or school. Our holistic approach includes acupuncture, yoga, and meditation as a portion of group sessions. Clients, as well as families of clients, have the intensive support of passionate counselors and staff to help navigate their journey to recovery. Included in the program are:
• Weekly multi-family group sessions designed to help families gain knowledge and understanding of addiction as a disease
• Individual counseling sessions so clients can process the content of their individualized treatment plan objectives, which may be more emotionally difficult to process in regular group sessions
• Individual sessions with our psychiatrist for mental health and medication management.
At Taylor Recovery Center, our goal is to treat the whole person and to arm clients with the education, life skills, coping skills, and relapse prevention strategies that allow them to maintain sobriety, pursue their dreams, and live a fulfilling life.
1Provide one-on-one counseling for all clients with an experienced intensive outpatient rehab treatment professional
2Involve clients in group counseling that builds a tight knit community of peers within the Houston IOP Programs
3Educate clients and their families about their illness & rehabilitation treatments
4Help clients improve their coping skills and emotional skills to prevent relapsing and continue living sober
About Our ProgramAt Taylor Recovery Center, our outpatient program consists of group counseling, individual counseling, psychiatric medication management as well as a weekly multifamily group. Our experienced, licensed professionals assess every client prior to admission to determine if outpatient treatment is the most appropriate level of care to best support long-term sobriety. Our clinicians are able to provide referrals for acute co-occurring disorders (medical and psychiatric) that may interfere with treatment without more immediate attention. Our team will work with the client's doctors, family members, attorneys or probation officers, and other service providers to coordinate a highly individualized plan of care.
The most helpful part of the IOP program was learning techniques for communication, establishing and keeping healthy boundaries, identifying family roles, and a better self-awareness overall. I preferred the smaller sessions. The group really gelled when the sessions were small. I would definitely recommend a friend or family member to Taylor Recovery Center.
